Literature Text

the shape of snow flurrying
undaunted now metamorphosed
into a blissful dragonfly
blizzard, i think summer.

as the umbilical river runs
through burrowing cuts in rock
filling the void with self
nurtured, i think ripe.

furious fading dreams push
until higher waves sweep me to
truer views of the sea for what
is more honest than the wanting self?

unto seascapes where the scent
of mother land only comes by
in whiffs first trivial, unto
horizons unholy, now sincere.

returning by chance or instinct to
a new beginning in the same river-
bed where all is different
from the other side.

Heraclitus: “No man [or woman] ever steps
in the same river twice, for it’s not the same
river
and he’s not the same man”.

It's daunting, how many people don't carry
a real understanding of this thought forward.
[The Popeye philosophy, "I am what I am".]

You certainly have a talent for poetry, Hannele. :)
